Glad you've got your laptop. That will keep boredom at bay for a while. Other than the cellulitis it seems like you're intact. (phew)
My dad's face and necked swelled massively after a kidney stone operation/infection. It's amazing what the body can go through and recover.
p.s. you've taught me a lesson. I love crunching on ice.
my mil of 38 years - who has not spoken to me for the 9 years since i left her cult - died on sunday.. today, as a favor to my sil who has spoken to me very rarely, for the same reasons, over the same period of time, i was moving some personal items to her home from the nursing home.
in this instance i guess it is ok to speak with me - if i have a strong back and a conveyance that aids her needs at the moment.. anyway, in the parking lot of the apartment complex where she lives, while we are moving in those items, guess who shows up?
five or six of my old 'best friends'.
So, it would be a privilege to live with these losers forever in paradise on earth?

from time to time i have an apocalyptic nightmare, which i attribute to the wt doctrines being planted in my head from birth.. recently, i dreamed i was standing in a skyscraper in nyc when a flying metal sphere came into my hands.
from the window i could see the city was exploding- (looking south towards lower manhattan) the metal sphere was a homing device for the missiles as well as camera which was observing- anyway i grabbed it and decided that as it was directing the attack, the attack would end with me.
so i held it up at the window where i could see the city being destroyed- flames, explosions, orange grey- and as i did the missiles headed my way.
I had them growing up as a JW, as an adult JW and since I've left.
Usually, it's the city dream we see in the publications. Buildings are falling on me and my family and we're screaming for Jehovah to save us. I've also dreamt many many times that Argmaggedon was in progress and I lose my voice (therefore, can't call on Jehovah to save me) and I struggle to breath.
Until I exited the cult, I never knew it was abnormal to have such dreams.
So sad.

as some of you know i've been logging my dreams since dec. of 2010 and am up to 184 pages worth now.
some of them have been disturbing dreams dealing with jw expereiences as i was a jw from birth until age 44 when i exited 9 years ago.

Both Mr CC and I have recurring dreams about our JW life. One of mine is that I'm at a strange function and at first don't recognize anyone there. As the dream progresses, I slowly begin to realize where I am (always a meeting, assembly or convention) and start to recognize lots of JW faces. Throughout the rest of the dream, I struggle to find the exit. The venue invariably grows larger and larger with only dead ends instead of exits. The strangest part of the dream is that I keep a smile on my face and feign friendliness to everyone that I pass by.
I always wake up with my heart pounding and in a cold sweat.
Damn Cult.
i moved to a new home about 6 months ago, so am no longer on a do not call list, but have not been contacted by jw's yet.
i didn't even know which territory i am in.
i asked again what congregation and he told me.

as a born in, or in at a very young age, what were your worst memories as a young jw child?.
i remember not being allowed to go to sleep in the meetings when i was tired.
not being allowed to do lots of things at school other kids could do.
I remember those awful, awful, awful, dinners with the circuit overseers and their wives at our house. What a waste of an evening.
